Halloween candy brings pure joy

Halloween has once again graced us this year. This is the time of year where people dress up and go out trick – or – treating in hopes of getting some of their favorite candies.

Speaking of candy, let’s talk about our favorites. Personally speaking I don’t like to discriminate against any type of candy whatsoever, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my go-tos.

I divide my candy into two categories; chocolate and other. As far as chocolate is concerned, my go-to is Snickers. For those who don’t like chocolate I am utterly confused, but of course no shame. As far as the other category of candy is concerned I am a big fan of Nerds (probably because it is the closest to who I actually am), Jolly Ranchers (they are just simply so good), and Sour Patch Kids (literally because they are sour, sweet, and then they disappear).

Also, this may be random, but can we talk about the slogan for Sour Patch Kids; Sour. Sweet. Gone. Like, no shade, but how long did it take to come up with the slogan? It is literally the process of the candy dissolving in someone’s mouth. Like imagine that business meeting. Regardless, it is still one of my personal favorites.

Also another great thing about Halloween candy is the look on a little kid’s face when they get candy; the look of pure joy. Why can’t teenagers and adults look at candy and then feel instantly happy? Although some will definitely argue that this is the case.

All in all, Halloween is the one time of year where anyone can eat a few pieces of candy without being judged. Let’s be honest here, who wouldn’t want to have the opportunity to eat candy without any care in the world?
